Jon Dettling, GLC Sea Grant Fellow Jon Dettling began with the Commission as the 2003-4 Great Lakes Commission-Sea Grant Fellow and is now a program manager in the Data and Information Management Program Area.

Jon's expertise is in scientific and policy matters relating to persistent toxic substances and the Great Lakes. He manages the Great Lakes Air Deposition (GLAD) Program and the regional Toxic Air Emissions Inventory. Jon has also worked closely with numerous other Commission projects, including the Great Lakes Observing System, the Restoration Workshop Series, and the and the Beneficial Use of Dredged Material Project, among others.

Jon received his master of public health degree in Environmental Health Sciences from the University of Michigan in 2003. Jon has also received bacholors' degrees in biology and english from the University of Michigan. Some of Jon's previous work experience includes work with the Asthma Initiative of Michigan and the Center for Sustainable Systems.
