Gary Overmier is a project manager overseeing activities related to the Great Lakes Basin Program for Soil Erosion and Sediment Control.

Overmier comes to the Commission with a wealth of experience in areas related to agriculture, erosion control and nonpoint source pollution issues. He was a long-time employee with the U.S. Department of Agriculture-Natural Resources Conservation Service (USDA-NRCS) in Ohio. Overmier also served as the Assistant Director of the University of Toledo's Legal Institute on the Great Lakes and most recently was serving as a redevelopment specialist for the City of South Bend, Indiana.

Overmier earned bachelor's and master's degrees from Ohio State University and also received a law degree from the University of Toledo College of Law.
