Guan Wang

As a GIS programmer, Guan supports other Commission staff, local, state and federal agencies and related partners on various projects requiring GIS programming, analysis and product development including web mapping applications covering the Great Lakes - St. Lawrence River basin. His responsibilities also include application/database development and GIS support for air toxics emission datasets, emergency response plans, contaminated sediment analyses, aquatic invasive species control and related biologic, chemical and physical monitoring programs.

Before joining the Commission, Guan worked as a GIS developer at the Institute for Geospatial Research & Education, EMU.

Guan holds a Master of Science in Geographic Information Science from Eastern Michigan Univ. He also has a Master of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Tianjin Univ, China.
