Christine Manninen

Manninen is manager of the Commission's Communications and Internet Technology Program, which focuses on development of the Great Lakes Information Network (GLIN) and related web applications, as well as design, publishing and marketing of all GLC publications, reports and news releases. Manninen was editor of the Commmission's Advisor newsletter from 1995-97, followed by four years as project manager and GLIN webmaster.

Prior to joining the Commission, she worked in corporate communications at Consumers Power Company (now Consumers Energy), one of the nation's largest combination utilities. She has a bachelor's degree in biological sciences from Michigan Technological University and a master's in environmental journalism from Michigan State University.
