GLIN Daily News announces new partnership with the Great Lakes Radio Consortium

Joint production broadens GLIN Daily News exposure, sustains initiative

Ann Arbor, Mich. -- The growth and popularity of the Daily News services on the Great Lakes Information Network (GLIN) has resulted in a new partnership with the Great Lakes Radio Consortium (GLRC). Beginning this month, GLIN and GLRC will jointly produce and market the Daily News content. With lots of opportunities for cross-linking and sharing content between the two projects, the new arrangement will continue to broaden the exposure of the GLIN Daily News services, while ensuring sustainability of the initiative.

"We are pleased to partner with the Great Lakes Commission via GLIN on this exciting, new collaboration," says Dale Willman, GLRC's managing editor. "The GLIN Daily News services are immensely useful for the Great Lakes regional community, and we hope to broaden their reach even more through our involvement."

Based at the studios of Michigan Radio in Ann Arbor, Mich., GLRC produces a weekly news feed of high-quality environmental features. The stories are broadcast on public radio stations throughout North America, reaching an annual estimated audience of 36 million listeners.

GLIN Daily News, established in fall 1999, is supported by several Great Lakes agencies as contributing sponsors to the Regional Press Room. In addition, numerous web sites now feature the GLIN Daily News box on their home pages. For more details on these and other services, visit www.great-lakes.net/news/
