Pennsylvania Land Use Roundtable
Overview This educational/outreach roundtable was designed for local officials and planners to increase the awareness and use of state and federal resources for land use planning, brownfield redevelopment and open space protection in the Lake Erie portion of Pennsylvania. Additionally, a preview of Pennsylvania's new sustainable development principles was provided to the attendees. At the roundtable, attendees particpated in a community visioning exercise in which they had the opportunity to rate 50 images depicting a variety of development forms and patterns.
As an outcome from this visioning session, the Great Lakes Commission produced an information pamphlet titled Sustainable Visions for Pennsylvania's Communities for distribution to local planning agencies. This pamphlet provides the top rated visions of communty development and points to information sources to achieve these visions.
