Welcome to the Great Lakes Water Use Database. The Great Lakes Regional Water Use Database partially fulfills the recommendation of the Great Lakes Charter of 1985 that calls for a uniform, consistent base of data of Great Lakes water withdrawals, diversions and consumptive use. Water use data are submitted to the repository on an annual basis and reports are provided to assist the ten Great Lakes jurisdictions in planning and management. The database presents annual withdrawals, diversions and consumptive use in three sections:

1) Introduction, Summary (basin-wide) Tables, and
Jurisdiction Tables and Analyses,
2) Basin Tables, and
3) Water Use Category Tables.
