Duluth Workshop -
On January 22-23, 2007, members of the Great Lakes Coastal Wetlands Consortium (GLCWC) Science Committee, scientists from the Great Lakes Environmental Indicators (GLEI) Initiative and a few other scientists from related programs, met at the University of Minnesota Duluth Natural Resources Research Institute to accomplish the following objectives:
Provide a forum to compare GLEI and GLCWC methodologies.
Look at how both projects can measure against a common stressor scale as well as common indicators.
Assess and determine the best approach for each indicator.
Discuss what additional work needs to be done to work toward the goal of an optimal suite of indicators and metrics for the GLCWC's coastal wetlands monitoring plan.
