The 16th St. Community Health Center lead the planning efforts to revitalize Milwaukee’s Menomonee River Valley. Specific objectives were developed for land use and economic development, transportation, stormwater and planning, environmental contamination, and ecological and community restoration. Case Study: Kenosha’s Waterfront Redevelopment

    John Antaramian, Mayor of Kenosha

To help design this waterfront redevelopment project, the city of Kenosha employed the services of the Urban Land Institute (ULI). ULI brought in a team of developers, bankers and environmental experts and sought public input through a series of public meetings. Within a 2 week period of time, ULI developed a report to the city on how the community should pursue this project. ULI urged the city to engage the public to carry this project forward.
