The Great Lakes Fishery Commission lake committees are composed of representatives from the state, tribal and provincial agencies that are responsible for day-to-day fishery management on the lakes. They hold annual public meetings each March to review progress toward fishery objectives on each of the Great Lakes, as well as a common session to discuss topics of interest to the entire basin.

The GLFC Annual Meeting will be held in Traverse City in May 2025.
